I would like to introduce myself as Aliant Bank's CEO. We already have a lot in common. You, like me, probably have deep roots in Alabama, and a very clear vision of what you want your community to be. A great place to raise a family. A place where not only the natural beauty and resources, but the natural leaders and natural talent in your community are valued and developed. 

That is why I am excited about my role as CEO of Aliant. Before joining Aliant, I had been in leadership roles at Colonial Bank and several other fine banks serving communities in Alabama and the Deep South. I've worked in Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville, growing my career, but also gaining a growing interest in a new direction. A direction that led me back to my roots.

Becoming CEO of a community bank was an exciting prospect, especially one that has been in business for a century, serving many families for generations. A community bank is where I can use my experience to not only make money, but make an impact. Not just make a profit, but see our communities make progress.

This is an exciting time to be part of Aliant. Like most banks, we've had setbacks, but are now back on a path to success.  In December, 2011, we merged with USAmeriBank, gaining a strong financial partner who shares our core values and focus on the needs of our customers and communities. I will be leading the day to day effort of continuing Aliant's mission to be more responsive to customers, more cutting edge, convenient, and more open to possibility than any other community bank.
